Fantastic accommodation, lovely view of Belfast Lough, breakfast was very tasty and the staff were so friendly. I would definitely stay in Walter's Place again
Very well decorated, modern boutique hotel. As it's quite a new hotel there are a few teething problems that need fixing. They had no heating on the day we arrived and although there's heating in the air conditioning unit which is not explained the buildings radiators were stone cold all day and is not acceptable in December. Noise from the bar next door can be really bad at weekends and ruins the experience. The shower wasn't warm enough even at highest setting but again this seemed to be a heating issue as radiators were still freezing in the morning. Also we were given a number to ring for assistance as there is no physical staff in the hotel and everything seems to be done from the bar next door. No one answered the phone or replied to the text we sent about the heating and I had to go next door into a very busy bar to ask for assistance. Parking at weekends can be challenging. I'd like to say we had a good experience but we didn't. Was expecting better from what we seen in the pictures and reviews.
Top place, clean, modern room with all facilities, short walk to train station. VG food, friendly staff. Would stay there again.
What a gem! high standards similar to top hotels combined with the personal touches of a local b&b. Loved the attention to details, the sea views and the best sleep Ive had in a long time! I travel a lot, so sleep, comfort and good food are important to me. There were two breakfast options, either a very well stocked continental or next door in the adjoining pub which serves the best Ulster fry up with eggs done to perfection...definitely recommended. Customer service was first class. Thank you Walters Place :)
