In my own experience I had an appointment for 9.45 and was finally seen at 10.25. Was not informed of surgery running late or anything. Then today my son takes his baby to be seen for second day in a row to be seen for 2 minutes and told the child has a head cold. Now this evening after seeing the dalriada doctor the child is in antrim A&E on a drip for fluids for dehydration and nutrition. Castle practice has become a joke and absolute disgrace.
My 78 year old father is suffering from Parkinsons and as such has a disturbed sleep pattern, he has recently purchased a medical mattress that will help him sleep better. Because it is a medical grade mattress that will help with his condition, he is entitled to claim the vat back! To do this he is required to give a form to his medical practice for a doctor to confirm he suffers from Parkinsons, sign the form and endorse with the surgery stamp! My father was informed that this service would cost 30, I have phoned the practice and have been informed that this is in fact the case as it is private work! I am totally appalled by this, any financial benefit my father gets for his condition is reduced my this surgery! Is this what the NHS has come to? disgraceful!
